Exclusivio Wrought Iron Designs made this very strong steel security gate.

This steel security gate is for a front door of a house. It was made bearing in mind that this is for a high risk area in South Africa but the client also wanted it to look different and still had to enhance the look of his house.

His main concern was that it must not be easy to break it open to gain access to his house. His house is painted grey with all the steel done in white. The gate can be divided into thirds: 1/3 bottom piece and 2/3 top steel piece. The design gives it a strong feel which matches the heaviness of the steel security gate.

Frame consists of 50 x 50 square steel tubing, the top piece was rolled into an arch to fit precisely into the brick opening without too much of a gap between the steel and the brick wall. What catches the eye about this gate are all the rings in it, made out of 12 x 12 x 100 mm diam steel round bar.

This is a very solid steel ring that goes in between the steel frame. The gaps between the steel are not very big which makes it a bit more difficult to break open.

A strong double pin lock was fitted into the steel frame of the steel security gate. Two bullet hinges secure it into the brick wall. To bring everything together, at the bottom piece of this steel security gate is a decorative steel piece that looks like a rosette.

This steel security gate was powder coated in white with a bit of a shine. Exclusivio Wrought Iron Designs took about 2 days to make the gate and 3 hours for installation.
