For this beautiful steel lamp, we used 0.8mm CR sheeting to spin this specific shape of the shade and foot pieces, which are indeed also spinnings. The thinner the sheeting, the more flexible it is to mould around the die on the spinning machine. If the sheeting is too thick it tends to break and we cannot get the desired look or shape.
We can add or subtract as many light holders as the client needs and to fit in with the space of the spined steel top. What is nice about these spinned steel tops is we can change the look of the steel lamp and the colour to anything from an old antique look to a modern day look all depending on where the steel lamp will be placed. It can be used as a bedside lamp, study lamp, lounge lamp or even as a table centerpiece.
This steel lamp can be customized into a standing lamp for an entertainment area or a lounge that isn’t desired to be lit up to brightly. Designs can be added to this steel lamp as well, anything from butterflies to grape vines and leaves running up the pole of the lamp. A bonus point to these sort of lamps is that we can drill holes into the top / shade of the steel lamp and add a glass bead design to it that makes it look more elegant.
At the bottom, Exclusivio wrought iron designs added a steel weight to stabilize the steel lamp and keep it sturdy whilst standing on a desk or a bedside table. On this steel lamp, we added 3 lamp holders to accommodate 3 small bulbs, so this lamp will not have a dull light but just the right amount of light. The colour is a beautiful black and bronze paint technique that is done by hand, which is an art all on its own and takes some time to master to get the correct effect.
Adding one of these beautiful steel lamps to your home is a good investment, let Exclusivio Wrought Iron Designs make it to your specifications. We combine your ideas with our skills in wrought iron.
